Although Hinnotefjellet is comparatively small it is quite remote and inaccessible. It can only really be climbed from the west saddle, the south saddle and the southwest flank in between these saddles. This makes ascents from Memurubu or Spiterstulen very lengthy and leaves Gjendebu as the only option. This ascent from Gjendebu is however also very feasible as a days spring ski-touring trip, although the final summit pyramid is reasonably steep and if icy may prove difficult without crampons and ice axe. It is the summer ascent that is described below.
