Høvringen Lodges |

|
There are many private lodges at Høvringen. DNT don't own any here but have arrangements with a few, the most noteworthy being:
Rondane Haukliseter Fjellhotel
Rondane Haukliseter Fjellhotel, which is one of the cheapest and one of the more basic (but still very adequate and comfortable). This lodge is not particularly traditional but is pragmatic with a fantastic view.
It is open on a seasonal basis only from early February to late April and from mid June to late September. There is a good website with English link at www.haukliseter.no and the Tel: +47 61 23 37 17.
Brekkeseter lodge
The Brekkeseter lodge is very comfortable yet traditional. It is more expensive than Rondane Haukliseter Fjellhotel but the quality easily accounts for this.
It is open on a seasonal basis only from early February to late April and from mid June to late September. Brekkeseter lodge was part of a complex of traditional building that were the summer farms. Many of these beautiful old farms still surround the lodge and add considerably to the overall charm of Brekkeseter.
There are about 20 of these fabulous buildings and many are available for rent, at quite reasonable prices, (even on a daily basis) throughout the year on a self catering basis.
There is a good website with English link at www.brekkeseter.no and the Tel: +47 61 23 37 11.
Other Lodges
The other Høvringen lodges, information on the shop and pub and other useful facts can be found on the website which incorporates most of the business in this resort village is at www.hovringen.no and there is an English link also.
Høvringen is only 8 km off the Gudbrandsdalen E6-highway along a tarmac road which is kept open all the year round. There are good public bus connections between Otta and Høvringen.
