Meadow Pipit
A very common summer visitor found in the upper aboreal zone to the alpine vegetation zone.

Its neat cuplike grassy nest is found on the ground hidden amongst grass or heather clumps.

Often seen making short flights, rising and returning to the ground while looking for its food which consists of insects and sometimes worms and seeds.

The female is similar to the male.
